JOIN US FOR AN INTIMATE IMMERSION // UNDER THE LIGHT OF TE RAKAUNI with the starry medicine bowl above, we gather together to celebrate life and earth medicine
A 5 DAY INTENSIVE WITH BAELYN, FLEUR & SARA
“Our most important job, is to keep the land safe and well. Keep the earth well, if the river is unwell, then we are not well, if the land is unwell, then we are not well. Once the land is healed – we are healed” – P McGowan
“Our biggest teacher is the forest (Ngahere), the more one spends time walking among the trees and the forests offerings, the more we learn and connect – by being intimate with nature, we are empowered to heal ourselves and the environment.” -Fleur
When treating ourselves holistically, we look ourselves as whole beings and the patterns that show up in our lives. If we enter the stillness and we look closely, we can see these patterns repeated in plants - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If we take the time to listen and build relationships with the natural medicine around us, the plants have the capacity to assist us in our deepest healing.
Together we will be reconnecting with the land, to learn and grow with each other. In this immersion we will dive into our "Body Wisdom" from a Naturopathic perspective, learn the medicines of the Native forest and surrounding areas, and cover our relationship to the season of summer - this will include making plant medicines and infusions to nourish and heal the body. We will also be guided through daily life in ceremony with various practices- "The Way Of Tea" Tea Ceremony, meditation, drum and song.
This immersion is based in Waiwera just North of Auckland, in Aotearoa (New Zealand). The land is a potent place of healing, perched on a hill, where the sky meets the earth, it looks out to the ocean in all four directions of the medicine wheel. This site is 80 acres of beautiful coastal ngahere (forest) & whenua (land), with unique flora and fauna, animal life and beauty. This private space holds old wisdom, from the top of the hill down to the sea where the river meets the ocean, there are many stories that lie in this land, it whispers to those who listen, it has stories to tell.
We will begin each morning sitting for tea in silence, softening and attuning our senses to open our hearts and ears.
“Tea is a plant teacher, a spirit of Nature, manifested through its Leaf and awakened by hot water. Used in ceremony, it is a dance between the elements, a sensory exploration of presence, where everything is connected by space. It helps us open up to the subtle language of the plants and listen to what nature is always communicating to us. ”
We will be immersed in the natural world for 5 days, a place to explore and cultivate relationship with land. You will be encouraged to listen to your own heart, and your own knowing. This is an opportunity deeply connect with the nature spirits, learn ceremony and sit with women.
This is a fully catered immersion with food medicine by Sara McKean who will be making beautiful organic food, based on beauty and local food / plants.
Will you come and join us and sleep under the night sky, be in the stillness, and truely connect with your own spirit in nature. By taking the time to be with ourselves and to listen to our own knowing and own intuitive guidance - is truely magic.
Will you come and listen to the stories of the land, will you come gather with us and let it teach you?
